Loan Pricing Corp. Accuses Rival of Stealing Secrets

Loan Pricing Corp. said is asking a New York court to stop a rival from using trade secrets the company alleges were illegally obtained.

The subsidiary of Reuters Group PLC asked the New York State Supreme Court on Friday to issue a temporary restraining order against IntraLinks Inc., a competing provider of loan market data.

A Loan Pricing spokesman, Robert Crooke, said IntraLinks is using marketing data, customer lists, and perhaps other data taken illegally. The order would require the company to disclose what it took and stop using it, he said.

Patrick Wack, IntraLinks' chief operating officer, declined to discuss the case.

IntraLinks was founded in 1996 by its current chief executive, Mark Adams. His previous company, ProspectusPlus, offered financial documents on CD-ROM.

IntraLinks' chairman is Arthur B. Sculley, a partner in Sculley Brothers LLC.
