Bank Rhode Island Names Executive

NEW ENGLAND

Bank Rhode Island, East Providence, has promoted senior vice presidents Donald C. McQueen and Melinda L. Ailes to top-level jobs. Mr. McQueen, who had been chief credit officer, was given the newly created post of chief lending officer. He has been with the bank since it opened, in 1996.

Ms. Ailes was named head of the bank's business lending unit, which handles small-business and commercial lending. She succeeded Peter Stickeler, who left the bank.

Bank Rhode Island has $562 million of assets.
