Arthur Zande Picked to Lead N.J. Bankers Association

The New Jersey Bankers Association, Princeton, has elected Arthur L. Zande as chairman.

Mr. Zande is executive vice president and chief executive officer of Lakeland Bank, Oak Ridge. In the trade group post he succeeded Kenneth T. Neilson, who is chairman, president, and CEO of Hubco Inc., Mahwah.

Thomas A. Bracken was elected vice chairman of the group. Mr. Bracken now heads government and commercial banking activities in New Jersey for First Union National Bank; before First Union Corp. bought CoreStates Financial Corp. in late April, he was president of CoreStates Bank's New Jersey market.

John J. Davis, president and CEO of Union Center National Bank, was elected treasurer of the trade group.
