Webster Financial Corp. in Waterbury, Conn., has hired First Maryland executive R. David Rosato as treasurer.
Mr. Rosato was First National Bank of Maryland's asset/liability manager. He joined the Baltimore bank in 1985 as a bond portfolio manager and later ran its wholesale funding desk. He was promoted to senior vice president-his new rank at Webster too-in 1995.
As Webster's treasurer he succeeded John Brennan, who remains chief financial officer and an executive vice president of the $8.8 billion-asset thrift holding company.
At First National of Maryland, meanwhile, vice president Dennis Webb succeeded Mr. Rosato as asset/liability manager. The bank's holding company, First Maryland Bancorp, is owned by Allied Irish Banks Ltd.
