Tech Bytes: Xcert Joins Check Point Security Alliance

Xcert International Inc., a seller of business-to-business data security technology and a partner of the American Bankers Association's ABAecom venture, said it has joined Check Point Software Technologies Ltd.'s Open Platform for Secure Enterprise Connectivity, or OPSEC.

Check Point, a leading provider of firewall technology, has admitted 200 companies into the OPSEC alliance to make it easier for corporations to manage network security.

As a member, Xcert can tell customers that its Sentry CA certificate authority is easily deployed with Check Point firewalls and virtual private networks, which are used by 30,000 customers with 77,000 installations.

Check Point, in turn, adds one of the market-leading public key infrastructure systems to its range of options.
