Fannie Names Top Lawyer, Fills Other Executive Posts

Fannie Mae has appointed Thomes E. Donilon to be senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary.

The company said Friday that Mr. Donilon will manage legal activities and be secretary to the board of directors.

Mr. Donilon was previously a partner in the O'Melveny & Myers law firm, where he specialized in domestic and international litigation, antitrust transaction counseling, and internal investigations.

The government-sponsored enterprise, which is the biggest buyer of mortgages on the secondary market, also named Jaynie M. Studenmund senior vice president of the company's western regional office, in Pasadena, Calif.

She had been executive vice president of Home Savings of America's retail banking division, where she was responsible for telebanking, business lending, alternative delivery, and product management.

Fannie also announced the appointment of Earl Thomas Booker 3d to be vice president for technology marketing. He had been a senior vice president at Amerix Corp. and was director of technology sales and consulting at Fannie Mae before joining Amerix.

The secondary market giant has also appointed Terri L. Davis vice president for technology sales and consulting, Theodore E. Maness 3d vice president for industry relations, Geoffrey Smith vice president for marketing in the company's northeastern regional office, and Roger L. Williams vice president for community-based lending.

As reported in American Banker last week, Vada Hill, the chief marketing officer at Taco Bell Corp., has been appointed Fannie's senior vice president of marketing.

All appointments are subject to the approval of Fannie Mae's board of directors.
