In Brief: Internet Expert Sets Up Application Web Site

Myers Internet Services Inc. has established a Web site to let customers fill out a loan application on-line and lenders and brokers to place bids for the loans.

The site will be free to mortgage applicants. Companies would pay a flat fee for each loan application they receive.

Mortgage companies can specify the type of loans they would like to bid on by specifying the borrower's ZIP code, loan amount, and type of loan.

Myers also announced Monday that it has partnered with Harmon Homes, a publisher of real estate information, to start a cobranded version of Harmon's Web site.

The site will provide mortgage and home equity loan rates from more than 400 lenders, 10,000 rate quotes, and 14 loan programs.

It will be free to consumers and to lenders.
