In Brief: Spyrus Product Used in Virtual Postage

The data security vendor Spyrus said its cryptographic token technology will be used in Neopost Inc.'s virtual postage meter service, Simply Postage.

Simply Postage, the first commercially available postage meter for personal computers, is relying on Spyrus to meet the high levels of security required by the U.S. Postal Service. The service is aimed at the small office/home office market.

Up to $500 of postage can be downloaded from Neopost's Postage-On-Call system and stored in a printer that makes labels according to Postal Service standards.
