Capital Briefs: Greenspan Cautious on High Technology

Increasingly sophisticated financial products have helped foster capital investment in cutting-edge technologies in recent years, and some new technologies are in turn making those investments more profitable, Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan said Monday.

Testifying at a high-technology summit here held by the Joint Economic Committee of Congress, Mr. Greenspan warned Wall Street not to expect this trend to continue indefinitely.
