Capital Briefs: Senate Votes to Restrict Y2K-Related Suits

The Senate approved a bill Tuesday to discourage frivolous lawsuits related to year-2000 computer errors.

The vote was 62 to 37. The bill now moves to a conference committee, where differences between the Senate bill and a similar bill already approved by the House will be hammered out.
