Greene County Bancorp Names Executive

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Greene County Bancorp in Catskill, N.Y., has hired Michelle M. Plummer for the newly created position of chief financial officer.

She will also hold that title at Bank of Greene County, which formed the mutual holding company at yearend. The company also completed a stock offering then.

Ms. Plummer reports to J. Bruce Whittaker, president and chief executive officer of the $153 million-asset holding company and the thrift. Edmund L. Smith Jr. remains their vice president and treasurer.

Ms. Plummer was the treasury cash manager for Kaiser Permanente's northeast division, working out of its Albany, N.Y., office.

That was home base at her previous job too, with KPMG Peat Marwick, the accounting and consulting firm. There she served bank holding companies, community banks, and credit unions in the region and held the title of supervising senior.

Still earlier she was a bank examiner in New York City at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
