Tech Bytes: Integrion Names 1st Chief Operating Officer

Christopher F. Schellhorn, director of operations at Integrion Financial Network, was appointed to the newly created position of chief operating officer.

He is responsible for companywide operations and relationships with Integrion's technology partners, International Business Machines Corp. and Checkfree Holdings Corp.

He reports to William M. Fenimore Jr., Integrion's managing director and chief executive officer.

The on-line banking consortium, which had 15 bank owners under its original structure, regrouped in April under three primary bank owners and recently added Visa U.S.A. to its core ownership group.

Mr. Schellhorn came to Integrion in August 1997 with its acquisition of Visa Interactive, where he had been president and chief operating officer.
