Tech Bytes: Singapore Out in Front On Y2K Compliance

Singapore's financial community has become the first to receive a "green" rating for year-2000 progress from a consortium of banks, securities firms, and insurance companies in 54 countries.

Such a rating from the consortium, the Global 2000 Coordinating Group, indicates a country is on track to be fully compliant in its year-2000 preparations.
