Keyport Sales ChiefLeaving at End of July

Mark R. Tully has resigned as chief sales officer for Keyport Life Insurance Co., a company spokeswoman confirmed. He will remain on the job until July 30.

Mr. Tully, 43, was on a task force that came up with recommendations on how Keyport and Liberty Distributors Inc. should combine operations. He decided against continuing in a redesigned position because it did not fit with his career plans, the spokeswoman said.

Mr. Tully declined to discuss his resignation. The spokeswoman said Mr. Tully had not told her what his plans are. Keyport has yet to name a successor.
