Cornerstone Bank Names Executive

NEW ENGLAND

Cornerstone Bank in Stamford, Conn., has promoted executive vice president James P. Jakubek to president and chief executive officer.

He succeeded Norman H. Reader, who remains president and CEO of its $145 million-asset holding company, Cornerstone Bancorp.

Mr. Jakubek was also the bank's chief operating officer. He retained the duties but dropped the title.

He joined Cornerstone in 1991 as senior vice president and was promoted to executive vice president in 1993. He had come from Connecticut Bank and Trust Co. in Hartford, where he was a vice president.
