Wachovia Bank Names Executive

Wachovia Bank of Winston-Salem, N.C., promoted senior vice president William F. Rogerson, group executive of Wachovia Operational Service Corp, to executive vice president.

Mr. Rogerson, who is based in Atlanta, is also manager of check processing services.

He joined Wachovia in early 1998 when it bought Richmond, Va.-based Central Fidelity Bank, his employer for 30 years.

Wachovia also promoted Alfred M. Burnett, L. Dale Cruse, Anne K. Surrett, and Janet H. Solomon to senior vice presidencies.

Mr. Burnett, who is in Winston-Salem, is an adviser in the trust and investment group. He joined the bank in 1986 as a counselor in capital management.

Mr. Cruse is a relationship manager in sales finance in Dalton, Ga. He joined Wachovia in 1988 as a sales finance manager.

Ms. Surrett has been managing director of the wealth strategy advisors group in Wachovia's personal financial services division since last year. She joined the company in 1984 as a business development officer in asset management and was promoted to vice president in 1990.

Ms. Solomon is a credit decision manager in Atlanta. She joined Wachovia Operational Services in 1987 as a product manager and was elected a vice president in 1990.
