Central Bank and Trust Co. Names Executive

Central Bank and Trust Co. of Hutchinson, Kan., has hired Jeff Ronen as president of its two Wichita branches, a newly created position.

Central Bank has $130 million of assets and five branches, three of them in Hutchinson. Earl McVicker is the bank's chairman, president, and chief executive officer.

Mr. Ronen was an executive vice president at Midland Bank in Newton, Kan. He came to Midland from Wichita-based Bank IV, where he was senior lending officer and a senior vice president until late 1995. Bank IV was bought in 1996 by Boatmen's Bancshares, which was later purchased by NationsBank Corp., now BankAmerica Corp.

Before joining Bank IV, Mr. Ronen was a vice president and commercial loan officer at American State Bank in Great Bend, Kan.
