Top Roles Go To 6 in Wealth Unit at PNC Bank in Philly

PNC Bank, a subsidiary of Pittsburgh's PNC Bank Corp., has assigned two executive vice presidents and four senior vice presidents in Philadelphia to new roles in its wealth management unit, PNC Advisors.

All six had worked in the PNC Private Bank, which has been absorbed into PNC Advisors, and four of the six are women, including two who have been involved in the Women's Financial Services Group, a specialized sales group within the new unit. The four women will have nationwide responsibilities for their business units.

"We look forward to expanding in the 19 states where we already do business and elsewhere across the nation," said Thomas K. Whitford, chief executive officer of PNC Advisors.

Executive vice president Nancy Wolcott is to oversee business strategy for personal and institutional investment management, as well as sales. She joined PNC Bank in 1996 as a strategic planner for the investment group after 20 years at Harris Bank in Chicago.

Executive vice president Fredrick C. Frank 3d is to be managing director of a team that devises customized investment plans. He joined PNC 23 years ago and led consumer banking in southern New Jersey.

Arlene M. Yocum, a senior vice president and managing director, is to lead the institutional investment group, where she will direct the management of 401(k) and other retirement programs for corporate clients as well as investment management for nonprofit organizations. She is also a senior adviser to the Women's Financial Services Group; she joined the bank in 1990 and was a team manager in the private bank.

Karen Minyard, a senior vice president and managing director of the Women's Financial Services Group, is to create a national marketing strategy for it. She joined the bank in 1977 and was chief administrative officer for investment management and trusts in Philadelphia and southern New Jersey.

Patricia C. McCrossan, a senior vice president and managing director for marketing and strategic planning, is to direct the repositioning of the traditional private bank as part of a multifaceted wealth management business. She joined PNC last year after 18 years at CoreStates/First Union Bank, where she was a senior vice president and manager in the capital management group.

James P. Dunigan, a senior vice president and managing director of investment advisers, is to be chief investment officer in Philadelphia and southern New Jersey. He has worked 12 years at PNC Bank.
