The Federal Reserve Bank of New York has promoted four assistant vice presidents to vice president.
Francis J. Reischach works in the markets group. He is responsible for accounting and control as well as account relations with central banks.
Mr. Reischach joined the bank in 1963 as a clerk in the accounting department. He was promoted to officer in the foreign department in 1978 and to assistant vice president in the markets group in 1995.
Michael A. Maffattone also works in the markets group, supervising its computer environment. Mr. Maffattone is responsible for real-time data feeds, integrated trading room systems, and data collection and distribution. He also works in data analysis and software engineering and development.
Mr. Maffattone joined the bank in 1983 as an assistant programmer and was named an officer for software development in 1996. He became an assistant vice president in the markets group in 1997.
Peter M. Gordon is also a computer specialist; he works in the network and data center, where he became an assistant vice president in 1994.
He joined the bank in 1968 as a programmer and has worked in telecommunications operations support, contingency operations and quality assurance, and data processing throughout his New York Fed career.
John Kambhu, in capital markets, oversees and conducts research and analysis on financial markets, instruments, and institutions.
Mr. Kambhu joined the bank in 1988 as an economist and was promoted to research officer in the international financial markets department in 1993. He has worked in the capital markets area since 1995.
