Tech Bytes: U.S. Trust Picks Intelidata for Web Offerings

Intelidata Technologies Corp. said it has sold its Interpose software for on-line banking and bill paying to U.S. Trust, the principal subsidiary of UST Corp. of Boston.

The bank will use the software to deliver real-time account information and a bill-paying service via the Internet using standard browsers, in addition to similar services provided through financial management packages such as Microsoft Corp.'s Money and Intuit Inc.'s Quicken.

U.S. Trust will also use the Interpose Bill Payment Warehouse to capture consumer payment information, allowing the bank to process on-us payments internally and use least-cost-routing for other payments to third-party processors.
