Tech Bytes: Transaction Language Passes Test on Internet

GlobeID Software said it conducted secure Internet transactions under the ECML standard for digital wallets on July 6.

ECML-electronic commerce modeling language-was introduced in mid-June by MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and several technology companies that support a consistent approach to entering payment and personal information on merchant Web sites.

GlobeID said it demonstrated the compatibility of ECML with its Advanced Payment Solution Suite. The Paris-based vendor said ECML will be commercially available with its PayWallet and PayButton in the third quarter.

Chief technology officer Yizhi You said GlobeID could respond quickly "due to the inherent flexibility of our products, which are based on modular design."
