J.P. Morgan & Co. said it has hired two executives to round out its paper, packaging, and building products investment banking team.
The bank said it had hired Stanley Kranjc to be a managing director for developing client relationships in the paper and plastics industries and Steven Logan to be vice president for executing transactions.
Most recently Mr. Kranjc was a senior member of Salomon Smith Barney's chemicals investment banking group. Mr. Logan joined J.P. Morgan from ING Barings, where he was part of the leveraged finance team.
A spokesman said J.P. Morgan has been building a specialized team for the industry for 10 months. It recently put together a financing for Weyerhaeuser Co.
