PNC Advisors Names Executive

PNC Advisors in Wilmington, Del., has promoted portfolio managers Kirsten J. Garton and Clyde O. Kessinger to assistant vice presidents.

Ms. Garton has 12 years' experience in investment management, including nearly seven with the unit of Pittsburgh's PNC Bank Corp. She was a research analyst at PNC Advisors before working a total of four years at Nuclear Insurance Co. in Wilmington and the University of Delaware, whose endowment portfolio she managed. She returned to PNC in 1993 as a senior trust investment officer.

Mr. Kessinger joined PNC in 1992 as an investment trust analyst and was promoted to trust investment officer in 1995.

The PNC unit also hired Lester E. Hendrix 3d to be account manager for Delaware investment holding companies. He has nearly 10 years of experience in securities operations and processing. He came to PNC Advisors from PFPC, a mutual fund processing subsidiary of PNC Bank, where he was an assistant manager of global custody services.
