Bisys Names President Of Fund Services Unit

Bisys Group Inc. of Little Falls, N.J., has promoted William J. Tomko to president of Bisys Fund Services.

Mr. Tomko, 43, was the Columbus, Ohio, unit's executive vice president of operations, responsible for fund accounting, transfer agent and shareholder services, administration, and technology. He joined Bisys in 1987 and started on his new job Sept. 1.

His predecessor, J. David Huber, 53, will be retiring, but meanwhile he will work part-time as a liaison with some of the firm's clients.

He said his role would be to coordinate Bisys' strategic direction with its clients' needs. "I'll be doing the fun parts, while Bill does the day-to-day operations."

Mr. Huber said he plans to play golf and spend time in Florida. "I've been wanting to slow down a bit for some time," he said.
