Two Promoted To Senior Posts At Home Loan Bank of Boston

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston has named Michael L. Wilson as senior executive vice president and chief operating officer and Frank Nitkiewicz as chief financial officer and treasurer, both newly created posts.

Mr. Wilson, who will be in charge of treasury, credit, human resources, information technology, and communications, had been executive vice president of finance since 1997.

He joined the bank in 1994 as senior vice president, planning and research. Earlier he was director of the Office of Policy at the Federal Housing Finance Board in Washington. Still earlier Mr. Wilson worked 10 years at the U.S. League of Savings Institutions in Chicago and Washington.

Mr. Nitkiewicz, who will oversee the treasury operations, accounting control, and financial research functions, had been senior vice president and treasurer since 1997.

He joined the bank in 1991 as director of financial analysis. Earlier he worked at Shawmut National Corp. in Connecticut.

The Boston Home Loan Bank also promoted Mark S. Zelermyer, its director of corporate communications, to assistant vice president rank.

Mr. Zelermyer, who joined the bank last year, had been director of public relations at Carleton-Willard Village in Bedford, Mass.
