Irwin Financial Corp. Names Executives

officer Thomas D. Washburn to executive vice president and promoted two other executives to senior vice president.

Mr. Washburn, 51, joined the $1.2 billion-asset company in 1976 and had been senior vice president and chief financial officer since 1981. He is chairman of the company's home equity and leasing lines of business and president of its venture capital subsidiary, Irwin Venture Investments. He also sits on the board of Irwin's mortgage bank, Irwin Mortgage Corp.

Gregory F. Ehlinger, 36, was named to succeed Mr. Washburn as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He joined the company in 1992 as vice president and treasurer.

Matthew F. Souza, 42, was named senior vice president. He is in charge of the ethics, human resources, and legal departments. He joined the company in 1982.
