Imperial Bank Names Executive

Imperial Bank, Los Angeles, has promoted Mahlon L. Vigesaa from senior vice president to executive vice president.

He manages the operations services group and reports to Daniel R. Mathis, president and chief operating officer.

Mr. Vigesaa joined the bank last February as senior vice president of the group. He came from U.S. Bancorp, where he worked in Portland, Ore., as a senior vice president and a manager in the operations support services division. Before that he was a vice president and manager of operations at Bank One Arizona, formerly Valley National Bank, in Phoenix.

Imperial Bank has also hired Frederick B. Denitz as a senior vice president and commercial lender in its Beverly Hills commercial banking branch. He reports to Gary Barredo, a Los Angeles regional vice president of the Imperial Bancorp subsidiary.

Mr. Denitz was a vice president in the commercial banking division at Bank of America's downtown Los Angeles and Century City offices. He was responsible for developing new business relationships in commercial and business lending, trade finance, and investment banking.

Before joining Bank of America he worked for Wells Fargo Bank in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.
