In Brief: CEO of N.Y.'s Suffolk, John Hanley, Dies at 52

John F. Hanley, president and chief executive officer of Suffolk Bancorp in Riverhead, N.Y., died Sunday after an extended illness. He was 52.

Mr. Hanley had worked for the $953 million-asset company since 1971. He was named president and CEO of its Suffolk County National Bank affiliate in 1997 and took the same titles at the holding company a year later.

Victor F. Bozuhoski, who was acting chief operating officer during Mr. Hanley's illness, will remain in that post until a successor is named, the company said.
