In Brief: HSBC to Restructure Operations in U.K.

HSBC Bank said it will reorganize its operations in the United Kingdom to put more emphasis on retail banking and to improve integration of commercial banking activities.

Two executives will have expanded roles starting Dec. 1.

David Mills, 55, who has been head of retail banking, will broaden his authority to investment and insurance products, card services, electronic and direct delivery channels, private banking, and marketing services.

Graham Picken, 50, who has been manager of asset finance, will oversee corporate and commercial banking activities.
