Bank of the West Names Executives

Bank of the West in San Francisco has hired Richard H. Garrison and Roger D. Kadz to be vice presidents and promoted three to that rank.

Mr. Garrison is to be regional business banking manager for the Idaho region and report to Scott Germer, executive vice president of corporate banking. He was a commercial-agricultural relationship manager at US Bank of Washington, which he joined in 1997. Earlier he was a branch relationship manager at Key Bank of Oregon.

Mr. Kadz is to be a construction loan officer in Reno, Nev., and report to Don Weyant, executive vice president of the real estate industries group. He was vice president in commercial lending at Comstock Bank, which he joined in 1996. Earlier he was regional manager of construction loans at United Savings Bank/Western Mortgage Loan Corp.

The bank also promoted Donal C. Mallone, Gary L. Crow, and John C. Lavezzoli to vice president.

Mr. Mallone is a treasury officer and Mr. Crow an investment officer. Both report to chief financial officer Doug Grigsby.

Mr. Mallone joined the bank in 1990 after two years as an administrative aide to an Alameda County supervisor in California. Earlier he was a vice president and trader at R.G. Knox Corp.

Mr. Crow joined the bank 12 years ago after working as an investment officer at the Santa Clara Water District.

Mr. Lavezzoli is to be credit manager for the consumer credit division. He is to report to Rich McGoldrick, executive vice president of consumer credit. He was an assistant vice president and production center manager in the specialty lending area. Earlier he was an assistant vice president and business banking officer at Wells Fargo Bank.
