Card Briefs: Visa Hires 2 Directors in Its Marketing Unit

Visa U.S.A. has hired Jennifer Hemmer and George Perry as directors in its event and sponsorship marketing division.

Ms. Hemmer, 34, had been with National Basketball Association Properties in New York as director of marketing partnerships. Mr. Perry, 33, was a marketing director for Starter Corp. in New Haven, Conn.

They will help develop Visa's marketing plans for the Olympic Games, National Football League, Triple Crown Challenge, and Nascar. They also will manage partnerships with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team, USA Hockey, U.S. Figure Skating Association, USA Gymnastics, USA Track and Field, and USA Cycling.
