N.D. Bank Names Chief for Wyoming Unit

Community First Bankshares of Fargo, N.D., has named the head of a Minnesota unit to lead the Wyoming bank bought from KeyCorp in mid-1997.

Robert W. Jorgensen will take the job Jan. 15. He will also rise from vice president to a senior vice presidency at the holding company.

Mr. Jorgensen is now president of Community First National Bank in Paynesville, Minn. As chairman and CEO of Community First National Bank Wyoming he will succeed Randall L. Dancliff, who will retire.

The 24-branch bank is based in Cheyenne, but Mr. Jorgensen will lead it from Community First's regional office in Denver.

Community First Bankshares was founded in 1987, and Mr. Jorgensen was among the original shareholders. He was president of the company's Community First National Bank in Cooperstown, N.D., before taking the reins in Paynesville. Earlier he had worked 17 years for Minneapolis-based First Bank System, now U.S. Bancorp.

Mr. Dancliff has worked for the Wyoming bank since 1973. A KeyCorp predecessor bought it in 1985, and he was president and CEO when Community First did the same.
