Consulting veteran Michael W. Reene has been named chief executive officer of Third Millennium Communications Inc., a developer of corporate Web sites that was founded in 1996 by Gerald Eickhoff.
Mr. Eickhoff, who formerly headed the bank-operations consulting firm Bank Earnings International, gave up the CEO title to Mr. Reene and remains chairman of Third Millennium, which he said will run up $8 million in revenue this year. It has 120 employees and a client list that includes BellSouth, Bankers Bank of Georgia, USA Today, and Nova Information Systems.
Mr. Reene, 43, has been a Third Millennium director since June, a month after his retirement as general manager of IBM's global telecommunications business. He spent five years with IBM and 17 with Andersen.
He is Third Millennium's second-largest shareholder, behind Mr. Eickhoff, and is chairman of the Technology Association of Georgia.
