Short Takes: Minn. Third-Party Marketer Hires CEO

Minneapolis-based third-party marketing firm, as its chairman and chief executive officer.

Mr. Fischer, who started Nov. 1, succeeded Michael G. Lenzmeier, who will remain the company's chief financial officer.

Mr. Fischer, 56, previously was president and chief executive officer of the rival third-party marketer PrimeVest Financial Services Inc., also in Minneapolis. He left that post in February 1998, one of several executives to leave PrimeVest after its acquisition in October 1996 by Minneapolis-based ReliaStar Financial Corp.

In the interim, Mr. Fischer has been a consultant to a number of financial services companies. A noncompete agreement with PrimeVest prevented him from joining another third-party marketer sooner, he said.

Fintegra was founded last year by two other PrimeVest alumni -- Mr. Lenzmeier and Doreen L. Strand, Fintegra's president.
