Lipper Picks Next Chief Executive

Lipper Inc. of Summit, N.J., said Friday that it has appointed a new chief executive officer.

Sarah Dunn, 39, who takes the reins of the fund tracking company on Jan. 1, is executive vice president of global accounts at Reuters America Inc.

Ms. Dunn said she plans to focus on growth and reinforcing Lipper's brand name. "We now have fund information analysis around the world, and we will want to grow the brand both globally and domestically," she said.

She will succeed Simon Thomson, who has held the chief executive post since July 1998, when Lipper was acquired by Reuters. Mr. Thomson has been named executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Reuters' American operations.
