In Brief: Intuit, Verisign Invest in Account Organizer

Intuit Inc. and Verisign Inc. were prominent among the first-round venture investors in ezlogin.com, an Internet company that is touting "unlimited, easy access and management of personal information on the Internet."

The $4.3 million in total financing will be applied in part to the company's free Web organizer, JumpPage, which enables centrally coordinated access to e-mail, news, travel, financial accounts, shopping, and other services, ezlogin.com said.

The "single, convenient view of all on-line accounts simplifies the on-line experience," said Anil Pereira, vice president of the Internet services group at Verisign, the digital certificate services leader in Mountain View.

"We see ezlogin as an innovator in a forthcoming generation of tools for automated interaction with Web sites, said Eric Dunn, chief technology officer of Intuit, also in Mountain View.

Other investors included Mars Capital, Angel Investors Fund, and executives from such companies as C-Cube, Clarify, Oracle, and Phone.com.
