Union Bank of California in San Francisco has put Terry Kelly and Terry G. Negendank in charge of newly formed units.

They were also promoted to senior vice presidencies.

Ms. Kelly will manage Union Bank's newly formed eClient Solutions unit, which will coordinate Internet products and services. She was vice president and unit manager with Union Bank's cash management product management group.

She came to the bank last year from Wells Fargo. Earlier she worked at Bank of California, which Union bought in 1996; and at American Bank and Trust, which Bank of Santa Clara bought in 1993.

Mr. Negendank will manage the new affluent-market division, which combines private banking with investment services.

He had managed the commercial lending division for the bank's Peninsula, San Jose, and Fremont area. He joined the bank in 1993 as a branch manager of the San Jose Airport office.

Union of California's parent company, $32.4 billion-asset Unionbancal Corp., is mostly owned by Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Ltd.
