Progress Financial Corp. in Blue Bell, Pa., has rehired Jeane Coyle and named her to the newly created post of senior vice president in charge of strategic development.
She will oversee E-commerce operations and initiatives of the $700 million-asset company's Progress Bank and will also lead Procall Teleservices Inc., Progress' telemarketing subsidiary.
Ms. Coyle has just spent 18 months at American Business Financial Services in Bala Cynwyd, Pa., as senior vice president for strategic development. Earlier she was head of retail banking and a senior vice president at Progress Bank.
Still earlier Ms. Coyle worked for Meridian Bancorp of Reading, Pa., as a vice president for strategic planning and special project management. CoreStates Financial bought Meridian in 1994.

Washington Trust Co. in Westerly, R.I., has named Carl M. Amaral as a regional manager.
He will be in charge of five branches, three in Westerly and two in Connecticut, in Olde Mistick Village and New London.
Mr. Amaral was branch manager of the bank's Narragansett office. He will continue to serve commercial clients in the Wakefield and Narragansett, R.I., areas.
Washington Trust is a subsidiary of $1 billion-asset Washington Trust Bancorp.
Essex Savings Bank in Essex, Conn., has hired Lynn K. Giroux as vice president of administration.
She will be in charge of branch administration, human resources, and business development functions at the $140 million-asset bank and will assume some of the duties that Gregory R. Shook shouldered before his August promotion to president and chief executive officer.
Ms. Giroux was manager of branch operations and a vice president at $9 billion-asset Webster Bank in Waterbury, Conn. Earlier she was a branch manager at Essex-based Maritime Bank and Trust, which Webster bought in April. Still earlier she worked at Fleet Bank as a branch manager and a loan officer.
