In Brief: E-Commerce Firm's Name Gets Global Spin

NEW YORK - Transaction Information Systems Inc., a leading Internet commerce and on-line business systems developer, said it has changed its name to TIS Worldwide.

The systems integrator has worked with a variety of Global 1000 companies, including financial institutions. The recent addition of clients such as the advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather and Virtual Inspections Inc., an Australian company that supports on-line realty sales with maps and images, exemplify how TIS has gone beyond domestic transaction needs to "architecting e-business solutions" globally.

"Our goal is to help our clients become more competitive by using technology to increase revenue and enhance customer service," said TIS president Bob Gold.
