The Federal Home Loan Bank Names Executive

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston has promoted John J. Murphy and John T. Eller to first vice president.

Mr. Murphy has managed the bank's operations since 1983. He has worked at the bank nearly 20 years and was named assistant vice president and director of operations in 1988 and promoted to vice president in 1993.

Mr. Eller manages the bank's affordable-housing program. He joined in 1991 as an assistant vice president and was promoted to vice president three years later. Before he came to the bank, Mr. Eller ran an independent consulting firm and was executive director of the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency, 1977-80.

The Boston bank also promoted its director of internal audit, Robert T. Abisla, to assistant vice president. He joined the bank in 1992 after working at KPMG Peat Marwick as a senior manager.
