SGV Bancorp Names Executive

SGV Bancorp of West Covina, Calif., has elected John D. Randall, the interim president of a nearby college, as chairman.

Barrett G. Andersen is president and CEO of $453 million-asset SGV and its First Federal Savings and Loan Association.

Mr. Randall, who will be chairman of both, is the interim president of Grossmont College, near San Diego. He was the president of Mount San Antonio College from 1977 to 1991, when he became a First Federal Savings director.

As chairman he succeeded Benjamin S. Wong, who completed a two-year term but remains a director. Mr. Wong is president of Great Wall Restaurant inc., a family-owned restaurant.
