New Federated Global Fund Targets Dividend Producers

Federated Investors said this week that it has introduced a global equity income fund.

The Pittsburgh mutual fund company is touting its Global Equity Income Fund as one of the first global funds to seek capital appreciation and above-average income by investing mainly in dividend-producing companies in the United States and abroad.

The new product brings Federated's global funds to three. Federated also offers seven international funds that invest outside the United States.

The new fund is being marketed in A, B, and C share classes through bank broker-dealers and other intermediaries.

Federated managed $110 billion in more than 150 mutual funds and separate accounts at Dec. 31.
