Short Takes: Jefferson-Pilot's Head of Bank Sales Leaves

Jefferson-Pilot Life Insurance Co.'s head of bank sales has left to become a consultant.

David Jarvis had joined the Winston-Salem, N.C., underwriter in December 1996.

Previously he had been president of KeyCorp's insurance management unit.

A spokesman for Jefferson-Pilot said the insurer had not issued a release on the departure and did not immediately provide details.

However, a source said Mr. Jarvis' duties will be assumed by Michael Denton, senior vice president for financial institutions marketing.
