Los Alamos (N.M.) National Bank has promoted Tim Doyle to chief operations officer, succeeding senior vice president Fidel L. Gutierrez, who is to manage the bank's new Santa Fe branch beginning Monday.

Mr. Doyle, who has been vice president and cashier since 1994, is now responsible for bank operations around Los Alamos. He joined the bank in 1990 as an internal auditor.

Los Alamos National also hired Charles Stuppy to be vice president of information systems. He was the owner and head of a computer consulting and software development company in New Mexico. He had worked for the bank in the early 1980s before becoming a consultant.

Los Alamos National, a subsidiary of Trinity Capital Corp., has $504 million of assets.
