Short Takes: MetLife Offers Stable-Value Investing Style

Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. has teamed up with several fixed-income managers to offer a stable-value style of investing for pensions and 401(k) programs.

MetLife recently began offering Stable Value Investors to middle-market plans, those with $2 million to $200 million to invest, a spokeswoman said.

MetLife of New York is teamed with asset managers including Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Investment Management.
