Executive Changes: MIDWEST

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland has promoted Robert Price to senior vice president in the payments area.

Mr. Price is in charge of daily oversight of check operations, as well as the Cleveland Fed's role in the Federal Reserve System's check operations and check automation activities.

He was vice president of the check administration function for the Cleveland Fed, which he joined in 1974.

The bank also named Barbara Henshaw-Hertz to succeed Charles Cerino as head of its Cincinnati office on April 1.

Mr. Cerino, a senior vice president, will retire after 38 years at the Cleveland Fed. Ms. Henshaw-Hertz, an assistant vice president since 1991, will become a vice president.

Ms. Henshaw-Hertz joined the bank in 1977. She has worked in departments including cash/fiscal, information technology, protection, and facilities services. She is currently the bank's representative on the Federal Reserve System's cash advisory group.

The Cleveland Fed also promoted Stephen Geers and Jon Jeswald to assistant vice president.

Mr. Geers was named the national account officer for the bank's marketing department. He will manage relationships with national clients of the Federal Reserve System, on whose national product management team he will remain the Cleveland bank's representative. Mr. Geers will continue to work out of the Cincinnati office.

Mr. Jeswald is responsible for coordination of year-2000 testing on check applications internally and for the bank's customers. He is in the Cleveland Fed's payments area.

Huntington National Bank of Columbus, Ohio, a subsidiary of Huntington Bancshares, has promoted Karen Homan to vice president of commercial lending.

She is based in Cincinnati, where she oversees commercial banking relationships with clients there and in northern Kentucky.

Ms. Homan was an assistant vice president. The commercial lender has worked at Huntington for 13 years.

The company also reported three promotions to assistant vice presidencies at various subsidiaries and a hiring at that rank.

Scott Kleinman, Cindy Evans, and Lawrence Walker Jr. were the officers promoted.

Mr. Kleinman is with the institutional sales and trading division of Huntington Capital Corp., the company's investment banking arm.

Ms. Evans works is with Huntington Investment Co., the retail brokerage unit; she was also named as an investment services manager there, with responsibilities in sales support and operations. Ms. Evans, who was a compliance officer at the unit, has worked for Huntington for seven years.

Mr. Walker is a senior product manager for business deposits in Huntington National Bank's treasury management department. He has been at the bank for 19 years.
