Bank One UnitIn Milwaukee Appoints Grieg President, CEO

Bank One Wisconsin, the Milwaukee subsidiary of Bank One Corp., has named Paul Greig president and chief executive officer.

He had been the Bank One Illinois market manager, responsible for the consumer banking network in Chicago and northwest Indiana, with 240 branches and 1,000 automated teller machines.

Mr. Greig has 20 years of commercial banking experience.

He had managed commercial activities in Wisconsin and a substantial portion of the Chicago market for American National Bank, a Bank One subsidiary, until late 1997. He began his career with American National in 1978 in Chicago.

In the Wisconsin posts, he succeeded William Read, who left last Monday for an entrepreneurial role as chairman of the Wag-Aero Group.

Mr. Read and his wife bought the Lyons, Wis., aircraft parts maker and distributor in 1995, Bank One said. He had joined a Bank One Wisconsin predecessor, Marine Corp. of Milwaukee, in 1985.
