Nova Corp. has turned to Econex, a Los Angeles electronic commerce company, to provide Internet support for 450,000 small-merchant customers.
Nova said a recent customer survey showed that 40% of its clients expressed a "strong interest in conducting their business on-line," said Edward Grzedzinski, the chairman and chief executive officer.
"This partnership with Econex will allow our merchants to have access to powerful e-commerce solutions," he said.
Econex will also have access to merchants through Nova's relationships with 8,500 agent banks, 300 trade associations, and 40 independent sales organizations.
