Mellon Hires A Kodak Exec To Be Human Resources Chief

Mellon Bank Corp., Pittsburgh, has hired Charles A. Singleton as executive vice president and head of human resources.

Mr. Singleton, 51, was a vice president for worldwide compensation and benefits at Eastman Kodak Co. in Rochester, N.Y. He has 30 years of human resources management experience.

He will join Mellon on June 15 and succeed D. Michael Roark, 57, who is retiring after 10 years in the job.

Mr. Singleton will report to Martin G. McGuinn, chairman and chief executive officer of the 26,000-employee company.
