Tech Bytes: Tech Firm in Ga. to Buy Internet Specialist

Intercept Group Inc., a financial technology services company, said it has agreed to buy Direct Access Interactive Inc. of Memphis, an Internet banking company.

The 130 customers of Direct Access' telephone and Internet banking services, would join Intercept's client base of 690 community banks.

Intercept also said it made an equity investment in Derivion Corp. of Atlanta, a developer of electronic bill payment and presentment systems.
